Police said on Wednesday that a large part of the boiler fell about 250 yards away after the explosion, causing damage to other factories and residential facilities. According to rescue team officials, eight bodies have been removed from the debris while 30 injured have been taken to the hospital.

An official associated with the relief work said, “The damage was caused due to chemicals stored in drums in the ice factory.” Police said the owner of the factory lives in Canada with his family.
