Islamabad: Pakistan successfully test-fired a surface-to-surface missile capable of penetrating targets up to 450 kilometers. The country has tested the missile for the third time in the last three weeks. The army said in a statement that the Babar missile is capable of penetrating targets on land and sea with full accuracy. The missile was fired from the state-of-the-art Multi Tube Testing Vehicle.
The statement said that the Babar cruise missile is capable of hitting 450 kilometers. Senior scientists and defense officers were also present during the test. He praised the standards of training and operational preparedness of the military-strategic force. The army said that President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee President General Zubair Mahmood Hayat thanked the personnel who participated in the successful test of the missile. This is the third successful test in the last three weeks.
Earlier on February 3, the Pakistan Army tested a surface-to-surface ballistic missile capable of hitting 290 kilometers of nuclear capability. Pakistan had on 20 January tested the Ballistic Missiles Shaheen-3 capable of carrying nuclear weapons. This missile can hit targets up to 2750 km.
