New Delhi: China has claimed to have achieved success in 6G mobile technology. This has been said in a report by South China Morning Post. The report claims that the researcher in China has achieved a world record wireless transmission speed of 206.25 gigabits per second. This means that the internet will run 100 times faster than 5G in 6G. 5G technology is yet to be rolled out in most parts of the world.
59.5 hours of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to be downloaded in 16 seconds
The speed of 206.25 Gigabit is quite high and it enables users to download the full 59.5 hours of all Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in 4K in just 16 seconds. The report of a South Korean news outlet, citing telecom equipment providers, said that 6G technology is expected to enter the market around 2030.
If this is true, then 5G will become the shortest lasting mobile network technology, as 4G was first introduced in early 2010 (2012 in India).
5G technology is yet to be rolled out in most parts of the world. The delay in the rollout of 5G networks may be partly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, supply chain issues, and the high cost of 5G equipment.
