Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed his right-wing party’s “big victory” in parliamentary elections, despite the election results being unclear.

In a statement released late last night on Facebook, Netanyahu said that the Israelis had “given a big win to the right-wing and my-led Likud party.” In post-election surveys, it was being said that Likud would emerge as the largest party and right-wing parties would dominate the election results.
