New York: Pharma company Pfizer has said that its Covid-19 Vaccine is still effective after six months. Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech announced Thursday the results of the latest study of more than 44,000 volunteers. The companies said the vaccine is up to 91 percent effective in symptomatic disease.
According to the companies, from March 13, there were 927 cases of infection with the corona virus, of which 77 were vaccinated, while 850 were those who were vaccinated ‘dummy’. The companies said that there is no serious concern about safety and that the vaccine is also effective against the first found form in South Africa.
The companies said this week based on a study of 2,260 American volunteers that the vaccine is safe for children under 12 years of age as well.
