Washington: The number of people killed in the Corona Virus epidemic in America has reached close to half a million. Covid-19 has killed 4,98,000 people in the past year, equivalent to the population of Kansas City, Missouri. According to data collected by Johns Hopkins University, the number of deaths from Covid-19 so far is higher than the total deaths due to respiratory disease, paralysis, Alzheimer’s flu, and pneumonia in 2019.

“We haven’t seen anything like this in the last 102 years after the influenza pandemic in 1918,” said America’s infectious disease specialist Dr. Anthony Fauci at a CNN program. On Monday, President Joe Biden will mourn the silence at the White House in memory of those who died from Kovid-19.
