Washington: The US company Eli Lilly has put a final phase trial of its major monoclonal antibody treatment (Monoclone Antibody) for coronovirus (Pause Last Stage Trial). This ban has been imposed due to possible security concerns. Eli Lilly Company has confirmed this. Company spokeswoman Molly McCulli said that safety is of paramount importance to Lily. We are aware that, due to extreme caution, the ACTIV-3 Independent Data Security Monitoring Board (DSMB) has recommended to prevent it from enrollment.

Safety is the most important for us: Eli Lilly
Molly stated that Lily supports DSMB’s decision to carefully ensure the safety of patients participating in this study. The news of Li’s moratorium came within 24 hours of Johnson & Johnson stopping the final phase of the trial of the coronavirus vaccine. Johnson’s trial was banned for the presence of an ‘adverse event’.

The person fell ill during the trial
In a conference call, Dr. Mathai Maiman, Global Head of Johnson Research and Development arm said that the company has very little information and we are currently stopping trials of a participant getting sick during a trial. At the same time, a statement was issued by Johnson & Johnson that said, ‘We have temporarily stopped the clinical trial of all our Covid-19 vaccines’. The company attributed this to a participant being ill during the trial.

Earlier this month, Johnson & Johnson joined the short list of vaccine makers in the US. Johnson & Johnson’s AD26-COV2-S Vaccine Vaccine is the fourth such vaccine in the US to be in the last phase of clinical trials. In the last report, it was said that the vaccine gave a strong immune response against the corona virus in the initial study. Researchers had said that there were no serious side effects based on the results of the clinical trial till now.
