New Delhi: After Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, there is a stir among the officers and employees about the possibility of layoffs. Musk has fired some top management officials including CEO Parag Agarwal. Now there is news that Musk is preparing to remove 3700 employees from Twitter and is planning about it. According to Bloomberg’s report, a person with knowledge of this entire matter has made this claim.

It is being told that after buying Twitter for US $ 44 billion, Musk plans to eliminate about 3,700 jobs of half the company’s employees to cut the company’s expenses. More than 7 thousand employees work in the company.

Information will be given to employees by Friday
Sources said that Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk can inform the affected employees about this by Friday. Musk has also made up his mind to change the company’s existing work-from-anywhere policy and asked the remaining employees to report to the office. However, the exemption can be given in some cases.

Musk and a team of his advisors continue to discuss job cuts and other policy changes at Twitter’s office in San Francisco. Two people told me that 60 days’ salary will be offered to these employees who will be fired. However, a Twitter spokesperson did not comment on the entire matter.

Elon Musk reveals his priorities
Let us tell you that after the acquisition of Twitter, Elon Musk clarified his priorities and started saying that he wanted to focus on the core product. This includes software engineering, server operation, and design roast. Senior executives in the product team were asked to aim for a 50% reduction in headcount. The list was reviewed by Tesla engineers and director-level employees.

Earlier, the US newspaper The Washington Post had reported that close aides of Elon Musk last week spoke with the remaining senior executives of Twitter about content moderation in the company as well as the issue of layoffs.
