
Washington: Karin Jean-Pierre will be the new White House, press secretary. She will replace Jen Psaki next week. US President Joe Biden on Thursday named Karin Jean-Pierre as the next White House press secretary. She will be the first black and LGBTQ woman to hold a high-profile position. Jean-Pierre is currently serving as the White House’s principal deputy press secretary. Jean-Pierre has been working on the White House senior communications team since Biden took office. She has also been a campaign adviser to Biden and chief of staff to Vice President Kamala Harris.
Biden said in a statement, “Kareen not only has the experience, talent, and integrity needed to undertake this difficult task, but she will continue to be a leader in communicating the work of the Biden-Harris administration on behalf of the American people.” Biden further said that Jen Psaki has set new standards of decency, respect, and decorum in the White House briefing room. Jean-Pierre will formally take office on May 13.
On this occasion, Jean-Pierre said that this is a historic moment for me. I know how important this is. It is an honor and privilege to be on this platform. During this, he thanked Jen Psaki. He further said that Saki has been my colleague, a friend, and mentor for the last one and a half years. He is a wonderful person.

At Thursday’s White House briefing, Psaki invited Jean-Pierre to the stage with him. “I would like to congratulate my friend, my colleague and true colleague Karin Jean-Pierre on becoming the next White House press secretary,” Psaki told reporters at the White House.
She further said, ‘She will be the first black and LGBTQ woman to act in this role. It is wonderful, she will be the voice of the people. She will show people that when you dream big and work hard, you can achieve anything. We should celebrate it.
