Washington: The US State Department said that America and India share many common interests and values and this was reiterated during the recent visit of US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to India. “This was Blinken’s first visit to India as Secretary of State,” State Department spokesman Ned Price said in his daily news conference on Monday. It was also an opportunity for us to explore ways in which we can strengthen and deepen our comprehensive global strategic partnership with India.”
“The other point we talked about is that we have many common interests and values with the Indian government,” he said in response to a question about Blinken’s recent visit to India.
Price said, “We have increased our efforts this year on our economic ties, trade ties, cooperation on climate, regional security issues, India’s role as an important member of the Quad, and our joint cooperation to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
