Menlo Park: Facebook has removed 276 such accounts that were used as fake right-wing people and used to comment on such news from these accounts. Often these comments are in favor of President Donald Trump. The company announced in this regard on Thursday. Facebook also imposed a permanent ban on a digital communication company in Arizona, about which it says that this company is behind these fake accounts.

Last month, The Washington Post reported that the Trump supporter group ‘Turning Point Action’ was giving money to teenagers to send coordinated support messages in violation of Facebook rules. Facebook and Twitter keep removing fake accounts that try to influence the election by interfering in American political discourse. The accounts whose network Facebook has removed were active before the mid-term elections in 2018 and were inactive until June.

But since then these accounts have been active on topics such as the Corona virus epidemic, criticism of the Democratic Party and its candidate Joe Biden, Republic Party candidate Trump and other leaders. Facebook believes that this account was running the rally company Forge of Arizona. Facebook said, “Those behind this network tried to hide their identity and coordinated work, but our investigation revealed that they belong to Rally Forge.”

It also stated that Rally Forge works for Turning Point USA. According to the statement from the organization, this work was done by the Independent Political Action Committee Turning Point Action. The Turning Point Action said that it would work with Facebook to clear up any misunderstandings.
