Two UAE players suspended
What are the charges against Ashfaq and Aamir Hayat
Both these players have been found guilty of violating the ICC’s 5 rules of anti-corruption. It is serious to affect the outcome of the match by taking money or gifts on them. Meaning both have been made sensational allegations of fixing. During the investigation, these two players could not give information about their money and gifts.
UAE players found guilty in match fixing is not new. Last year, three UAE players were found guilty of fixing and were suspended. Mohammad Naveed, Shaiman Anwar and Kader Ahmed were suspended by the ICC for their involvement in corruption activities.
