New Delhi: North Korea on Sunday confirmed the test of the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) carried out the previous day. According to North Korea, he did this test in a sudden launching drill. The objective of the test was to demonstrate the country’s capability in the face of hostile forces. North Korea launched a long-range ballistic missile into the sea off Japan’s west coast on Saturday afternoon, after South Korea and the United States warned of a strong response to upcoming military exercises.
The dictator’s sister warned America
In a separate statement on Sunday, Kim Yo Jong, sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, confirmed the missile test and warned the US to be careful. The dictator’s sister said that the US is trying to misinform the UN Security Council about North Korea which is nothing less than a hostile policy.
We keep an eye on every move of the enemy and will get a befitting reply: Kim Yo Jong
The dictator’s sister said I warn that we will keep an eye on the enemy’s every move and will take appropriate and very strong and heavy retaliation against his every hostile move.
South Korea made allegations on Saturday itself
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said on Saturday that North Korea fired a ballistic missile from its east coast towards the sea. North Korea’s move comes ahead of a joint US-South Korea exercise to be held in Washington next week. The Joint Chiefs of Staff said that North Korea fired an unidentified ballistic missile into the East Sea. Japan’s Coast Guard also said that North Korea had tested a ballistic missile, Al Jazeera reported.
North Korea had already given a warning
This eastern sea is known as the Sea of Japan. The day before the launch, North Korea’s foreign ministry threatened “unprecedented” action against South Korea. Yonhap news agency quoted the South Korean military as saying that North Korea launched two intermediate-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea in December.
