Dehradun: The Char Dham Yatra, which was blocked due to heavy rains for the last two days in Uttarakhand, has resumed on Wednesday. Movement for Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath has been restored in this yatra, which started after two days of rain alert, although the devotees have to wait for some time for Badrinath. The problem is being created due to the closure of Badrinath Highway and it is likely that the wait will be over soon. Badrinath Yatra is being said to start as soon as the highway opens. According to the update, the movement of passengers has started till Joshimath.

According to continuous reports, the Rudraprayag-Kedarnath National Highway 107 is blocked. NH is closed near Naulapani due to debris coming from the hill, efforts are on to open it. Here, the Uttarakhand Police told on its official Twitter account that the journey for the Teen Dhams has started while the road to Badrinath is waiting to be opened. Apart from this, updates are also coming continuously for other routes in the state.

Quoting DGP Ashok Kumar, ANI tweeted that the Nainital to Kaladhungi road, which was closed due to heavy rains on October 19, has been restored. Here the traffic has started again. Similarly, in Julikot in the Nainital district, with the help of machines, a major part of the main road, where a landslide had occurred, was re-opened.

Rescue going on in Rudrapur
Due to heavy rains on Monday and Tuesday, a flood-like situation was created in Rudrapur, in view of which relief work is going on now. If reports are to be believed, SDRF Commandant Navneet Singh joined the rescue operations team and the team launched a campaign to rescue the people trapped in residential areas and take them to a safe place.
