Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ lags far behind Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailor’ in terms of collections

Mumbai: The film ‘Jailor’ directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar was released on August 10 and the film completed 10 days on Saturday. The Rajinikanth starrer started getting love from the very first day of its release. Seeing the advance booking of the film, it seemed that the film would do wonders and it happened. The film is continuously setting a new marks of earning.

This action film of Rajinikanth was made on a budget of 200 crores but the film earned more than the budget on the 10th day itself. The film has crossed the 500 crore mark in the world and it has become a big record in itself. The film earned more than 18 crores on Saturday.

According to South analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, the film set a new mark on the 10th day. After ‘2.0’ and ‘Ponniyan Selvan 1’, it has become the third Tamil film to touch the figure of 500 crores. At the same time, Rajinikanth has touched a record of his own. Actually, this is his second fastest movie after 2.0, which has touched the figure of 500 crores. His film ‘2.0’ touched this figure in just 7 days.

Janikant’s film ‘Jailor’ did 95.78 on the first day, 56.24 on the second day, 68.51 on the third day, 82.36 on the fourth day, 49.03 on the fifth day, 64.27 on the sixth day, and 34.61 crores on the seventh day. Whereas, on the 8th and 9th day in the second week, the film collected more than 10 crores.

In ‘Jailor’, Rajinikanth is playing the role of a man who wants to avenge the death of his policeman son. Ramya Krishnan, Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, and Tamannaah Bhatia are also in important roles along with Rajinikanth in ‘Jailor’. The film has set a new landmark worldwide. At the same time, away from the success of the film, he is taking time for himself. After the trip to the Himalayas, he is now participating in different events.

On the other hand, Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ is on fire in the Hindi belt. The film is getting the love of the audience but Sunny’s film is far behind Rajinikanth’s film in terms of collections. If the figures revealed on the 10th day are to be believed, then the film can go beyond 350 crores.
