Once again Amarnath Yatra suspended after a landslide in Ramban

New Delhi: According to news, the Amarnath Yatra from Jammu to Srinagar has also been suspended due to the landslide on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police on the matter said Jammu-Srinagar NHW is blocked due to a landslide at T2 Marog Ramban. People are advised not to travel on NH-44 without confirmation from the traffic control unit.

It may be mentioned that the pilgrims going towards the Amarnath cave shrine were stopped for some time in Ramban district after the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was blocked due to landslides near Keela Mor on Sunday.

Amarnath Yatra

After a day’s suspension, the yatra resumed from Jammu in the early hours of Sunday, with a fresh batch of 1,626 pilgrims leaving the base camp here to join the pilgrimage in the South Kashmir Himalayas. However, again at 6:15 am, the pilgrims were stopped for a few hours at Chankarkote Yatri Niwas in Ramban district.
