In this regard, the CEO of the Amarnath Shrine Board, Nitishwar Kumar said on Thursday that the Amarnath Yatra will start on June 30 and will end on August 11, 2022. Along with this, Kumar also told that the registration for Amarnath Yatra will start on April 11 this year.

Along with this, a Yatri Niwas has also been built in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, in which 3000 pilgrims can sit comfortably. It is reported that the board expects an average of over three lakh pilgrims to visit the temple this year. According to the official of the board, “registration for travel will be done on April 11 in 446 branches of J&K Bank. Also, registration will start in 100 branches of PNB Bank, Yes Bank, and SBI Bank across the country.

With this, the insurance coverage period for pony operators has now been increased to one year. Insurance cover for pilgrims has been increased from Rs 3 lakh to Rs 5 lakh this year.
