Badrinath Dham Welcomes Devotees

New Delhi: In a vibrant display of faith and tradition, the sacred portals of Badrinath Dham have swung open, ushering in a wave of devotion across Uttarakhand. The rhythmic beats of drums have marked the commencement of the Chardham Yatra, as the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee unveils the temple, now adorned with a staggering 15 quintals of flowers. The air is thick with anticipation as pilgrims eagerly await the opportunity to witness the Akhand Jyoti, a symbol of unending divine light, on this auspicious occasion.

As the evening of Saturday approached, the holy site witnessed an influx of over 5,000 pilgrims, while more than 15,000 devotees were reported to be stationed at various junctures along the pilgrimage route. This surge in numbers follows the recent opening of the Gangotri, Yamunotri, and Kedarnath Dhams, which took place last Friday.

In light of the overwhelming response, the Uttarkashi Police have issued an advisory, urging pilgrims intending to visit Shri Yamunotri Dham to defer their plans due to capacity constraints. The authorities have emphasized the potential risks associated with the current volume of visitors and have appealed for cooperation to ensure the safety of all.
