Tehran: Iran’s top nuclear official Ali Akbar Salehi announced on Tuesday that Iran would not accept any additional demands beyond its commitments to the 2015 Nuclear Deal. Iran’s official news agency Irna gave this information. Salehi said this when Rafael Grossi, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is visiting Iran.

Grossi arrived in Iran on Monday to press for permission to visit sites that are said to have stored undeclared nuclear material stored or used by Iranian authorities. His visit to Tehran comes at a time when the US has been saying that Iran is violating the nuclear deal with the world powers and the United Nations should ban it. The Trump administration unilaterally withdrew from the deal two years ago. According to Irna, Ali Akbar Salehi held a joint press conference with Grossi in Tehran.

According to the agency, Salehi said, “Certainly Iran will not accept any demand beyond its nuclear commitments.” We work on the basis of our national interests. ” Grossi admitted in a tweet that he met Salehi on Tuesday. He said, “We are working on an agreement on the IAEA Certification Activity Standards in Iran.”

At the same time, Salehi said that a “new chapter” had started between Iran and the IAEA and he had a “constructive” talk with Grossi. He said that both sides are working on a joint statement regarding further cooperation.
