Lucknow: In the midst of the ongoing tussle for the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh (UP Election 2022), the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR Report), an electoral analysis organization, gave a report. Which contains the details of the funds of all political parties. According to the ADR report, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has the most assets. The BJP has declared assets worth Rs 4,847.78 crore, which is the highest among all political parties. After this, Mayawati’s BSP has declared assets worth Rs 698.33 crore and Congress Rs 588.16 crore. The Association for Democratic Reforms has prepared this report on the basis of its analysis of assets and liabilities of national and regional parties in 2019-20.
According to the analysis of electoral reform advocacy body ADR, the total assets declared by seven national and 44 regional parties during the financial year 2019-20 were Rs 6,988.57 crore and Rs 2,129.38 crore respectively. The ADR report said that among the seven national parties, the highest assets declared by BJP (Rs 4847.78 crore, which is 69.37 percent of all assets), BSP (Rs 698.33 crore or 9.99 percent), and Congress (588.16 crores or 8.42 percent) was done.
At the same time, out of 44 regional parties, the assets of the top 10 parties were Rs 2028.715 crore, or say 95.27 percent of the total assets declared by all of them. In the financial year 2019-20, Samajwadi Party declared the maximum assets at Rs 563.47 crore (26.46 percent) among regional parties, followed by TRS at Rs 301.47 crore and AIADMK at Rs 267.61 crore.
Fixed deposits/FDRs showed Rs 1,639.51 crore (76.99 percent) in the total assets declared by regional parties in the financial year 2019-20. BJP and BSP declared Rs 3,253.00 crore and Rs 618.86 crore, while Congress declared Rs 240.90 crore under FDR/Fixed Deposit category for the financial year. On the other hand, regional parties include political parties like SP (Rs 434.219 crore), TRS (Rs 256.01 crore), AIADMK (Rs 246.90 crore), DMK (Rs 162.425 crore), Shiv Sena (Rs 148.46 crore), BJD (Rs 118.425 crore). Those who declared the highest assets under FDR/Fixed Deposits. The total liability declared by seven national and 44 regional parties for the financial year 2019-20 is Rs.134.93 crore.
According to the report, national political parties declared a total liability of Rs 74.27 crore in the financial year 2019-20. National parties declared Rs 4.26 crore under borrowings and Rs 70.01 crore under other liabilities and Congress declared the highest total liabilities of Rs 49.55 crore (66.72 percent) in FY 2019-20. After that AITC announced Rs 11.32 crore (15.24 percent). Regional political parties declared a total liability of Rs 60.66 crore in the financial year 2019-20. Regional parties declared Rs 30.29 crore under borrowings and Rs 30.37 crore under other liabilities and TDP in the financial year 2019-20. The analysis said the DMK declared the highest total liabilities of Rs 30.342 crore (50.02 percent) after declaring Rs 8.05 crore (13.27 percent).
