Los Angeles: The Grammy Awards 2022 has been postponed due to the threat of the Omicron variant of the coronavirus. The Grammy Award is considered the world’s most prestigious award in the music world. The 64th Grammy Awards were to be held on 31 January in Los Angeles, USA. In view of the increasing cases ahead of the event, The Recording Academy has announced the postponement of the Grammy Awards 2022. The Recording Academy organizes this prestigious award ceremony.

The Recording Academy believes that Corona’s havoc may increase in the event to be held on January 31. Therefore, by postponing it, for the time being, this event will be organized soon. Grammy’s official broadcast CBS and The Recording Academy have issued their joint statement regarding this matter.

CBS-The Recording Academy issued a joint statement
“After discussions and discussions with city and state officials, health and safety experts, the artist community, and many of our partners, the Recording Academy and CBS have postponed the 64th Grammy Awards show,” a joint statement said.
