New Delhi: The weather is likely to remain dry over most parts of North West and Central India. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has given this information on Thursday. At the same time, during the next five days in these areas, there is less chance of a significant change in the minimum temperature. However, some states of South India may receive light to moderate rain in the next few days. It is reported that the lowest temperature of the season was recorded in Delhi’s Safdarganj on Thursday.

According to a release issued by the IMD on Thursday, scattered to moderate rains may occur over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal and Kerala, and Mahe during this week. At the same time, moderate rain may occur in Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, and Telangana in the next two days. The department says that no Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India in the next 4-5 days.

The IMD said that there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature in the first week of Northwest India. After this, the figure can gradually fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius. At the beginning of the week, the minimum temperature in East India may drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. According to Skymed Weather, there is a possibility of moderate to dense fog at some places over East and Northeast India.

The air quality in the national capital once again remained in the ‘poor’ category on Thursday. At the same time, the minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius, which is the lowest temperature of this month. The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 261 in Delhi at 8 am. At the same time, 237 in neighboring city Faridabad, 266 in Ghaziabad, 264 in Greater Noida, 241 in Gurgaon, and 235 in Noida.
