Washington: The four countries included in the Quad Group formed amidst the challenges facing China, India, America, Japan and Australia can meet soon. According to the Japan Times, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has described Quad as the foundation on which the United States will set its Indo-Pacific policy. This step is very important given China’s growing military presence in the region. Speculation about China’s objection and sharp reaction to this meeting has also started. According to the Japan Times report, the foreign ministers of the four countries of the quad framework first met in New York in 2019 and then met in Tokyo last year amid the corona virus epidemic. In the meeting held in October, the then US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo lashed out at China. He accused China of using economic power to dominate its neighboring South Asian countries. Pompeo targeted China at the exploitation, corruption and pressure of neighboring countries. He said that it will have to be seen whether this world will follow the system of international rules or will be under the pressure of governance like China.
