Indore(M.P): Preparations are going on extensively for the evening assembly by-election in the district. Strict action will be taken in case of violation of the Model Code of Conduct and various election-related rules in the district. In view of Coronavirus infection, there will be several arrangements for voters at polling stations as a precaution and security. All basic facilities will also be provided at polling stations. Globs will be given to voters and sanitizers will be arranged. The voting facility will be made available to Corona patients through postal ballot.


Complete arrangements within a stipulated time frame

This information was given by the Collector and District Election Officer Shri Manish Singh in a meeting of the nodal officers taken here today to review the election preparations. At the meeting, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Mr. Himanshu Chandra, Additional Collectors Mr. Pawan Jain, Mr. Abhay Fleetkar, Mr. Ajaydev Sharma, Mrs. Kirti Khorasia and officers of various departments were present. Collector Mr. Manish Singh reviewed the duties entrusted to him in an official-wise detail. He directed that all officers should study the rules and instructions of the Election Commission of India with utmost precision. They should also study the new instructions. According to the instructions and rules given by the Election Commission of India, complete all arrangements within the prescribed time-limit. All officers should conduct election work with utmost sincerity.


Examination of polling personnel will be done
The process of formation of polling parties has started for the upcoming elections on 3 November. The first phase of polling personnel training program is going on. A second phase training program will be held in the coming days. Collector Shri Manish Singh directed that all polling personnel should be trained in detail. Every rule and instructions should be made mandatory in the training. He said that there will be an examination for the polling personnel involved in the second phase of the training program. The polling personnel who have failed in this examination will be given training till they pass.

Action will be taken immediately on receipt of the complaint through C-Vigil App and other means
It was informed in the meeting that in-charge arrangements have been made for receiving election-related complaints and prompt action. A control room has been created in the collector office. Any person or party can also file their complaints on the control room’s telephone number 0731-2465546, helpline number 1950, WhatsApp number 93027-01383 and C-Vigil. It was told that by downloading C-Vigil App Android mobile, complaints can be lodged in it. Rapid action will be taken within 20 to 30 minutes of receiving the complaints. There is also a system to upload photos and videos in this app. Shri Manish Singh directed that all officers should take effective action on receipt of the complaint.


Globs and sanitizers will be arranged at polling stations

It was informed in the meeting that according to the instructions given by the Election Commission, there will be several arrangements for voters in view of the Coronavirus. Globs will be given to voters at polling stations as well as their sanitation will be arranged. For this, other employees including Asha will be deployed at all polling stations. Special arrangements will be made for the sitting of suspected patients of Kovid-19 coming to the polling station. Mr. Manish Singh has instructed that such arrangements should be made at polling stations so that no voter is disturbed.


It will take 150 vehicles to reach polling booths

It was informed in the meeting that 120 routes will be made to reach the polling booths. Through this 150 polling personnel will be brought to their polling stations and brought back to the material distribution center. It was told that a bus will also have a transport assistant. There will be three polling parties in one bus.


About 100 parties are keeping a close watch on election expenses

It was informed in the meeting that strict supervision is being kept on the election-related expenses incurred during the by-election. For this monitoring, more than 100 teams have been sent and sent to the Saver assembly constituency. Through them, every election and expenditure related to an election is being monitored through video recording and other means. On the one hand, the action is being taken on violation of rules and model code of conduct, on the other hand, expenses are being added to the accounts of political parties. Mr. Manish Singh has instructed that every expense be added to the account, and if action is found to be in violation of the rules, take prompt action.
