Mumbai: In a heartbreaking incident, Anil Arora, father of renowned actress Malaika Arora, tragically ended his life by jumping from the sixth floor of his residence, ‘Aisha,’ in Bandra at approximately 9 AM on Wednesday. The Mumbai Police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter, exploring all possible angles. Preliminary findings suggest that Anil Arora’s deteriorating health may have driven him to take this drastic step.
According to police reports, Anil Arora had been battling illness for some time, which might have contributed to his decision. However, the exact reasons behind his suicide remain unclear. His body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, with the report expected by this evening.
Upon receiving the distressing news, the Mumbai Police swiftly arrived at the scene. Malaika Arora’s ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, along with his father Salim Khan and brother Sohail Khan, also rushed to ‘Aisha’ in Bandra. The police prioritized sending the body for post-mortem before commencing a thorough investigation from every possible perspective. Malaika Arora is reportedly in deep sorrow following her father’s untimely demise.
Anil Arora had been unwell since last year, even requiring hospitalization. Originally from Fazilka district in Punjab, he served in the Indian Merchant Navy. Born into a Punjabi Hindu family, Anil Arora married Joyce Polycarp, a Christian. The couple separated when Malaika was just 11 years old, leaving her mother to raise Malaika and her sister alone.
