Meanwhile, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), said on Monday that at present such conditions have been created globally that will help more variants to emerge. It is meant to say that the present situation is favorable for the growth of other strains of Covid-19.

Stating that since the increase in Omicron cases, more than 80 million cases have been reported worldwide, which is more than the total number of cases in the year 2020, the WHO chief said that this is the time to emerge in the ongoing pandemic. Will not be the last Covid-19 variant. However, Ghebreyesus assured that the COVID-19 Global Health Agency and the “acute phase of the pandemic” could end this year itself, but that would require a comprehensive use of strategies and tools by all countries.
