New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp on Friday also launched its first e-scooter Vida V1 amidst the rapidly growing demand for electric scooters in the country. The Vida V1 electric scooter will be available in two variants V1 Plus and V1 Pro. It gets a dual removable battery with a joint range of 143 km for the Plus variant and 165 km for the Pro model.

The company has said that the top speed of both models is 80kmph. The V1 Plus accelerates from 0-40 kmph in 3.4 seconds while the Pro model achieves it in 3.2 seconds. On the occasion of the launch of this e-scooter in Jaipur, the company’s chairman Pawan Munjal told reporters that we wanted to launch this product already but we wanted to make it better.

Powerful feature
Talking about the features, the Vida V1 has LED illumination, a seven-inch TFT touchscreen display, ride modes (Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom) cruise control, two-way throttle, keyless control, and smartphone connectivity. It gets a split seat setup, telescopic front forks, single rear shock, and single disc brake setup. Overall, the scooter looks quite stylish.

Price
The price of Vida V1 Plus has been kept at Rs 1.45 lakh, while the price of Vida V1 Pro will be Rs 1.59 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi, without FAME II subsidy). Hero is also offering a lease option and buyback offer between 16-18 months for the Vida V1 electric scooter.

Delivery in December
It will be launched first in New Delhi, Jaipur and Bangalore. The delivery of this electric scooter will start in the second week of December. Hero MotoCorp’s new electric two-wheeler will compete with the Vida V1, Ola S1 Pro, Ather 450X Gen3, Bajaj Chetak, and TVS iQube. However, its price may cost more to the customers than other scooters because other companies are insisting on bringing cheaper e-scooters.
