New Delhi: Honda has set a new standard in India’s premium scooter segment with the launch of the X-ADV, a maxi-scooter that blurs the line between urban commuter and adventure tourer. Priced at Rs 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom), the X-ADV is now the most expensive scooter on sale in India, overtaking the BMW C 400 GT.
Dimensions and Design
The X-ADV is a true giant on two wheels, measuring 2,215mm in length, 940mm in width, and 1,370mm in height. With a seat height of 820mm, ground clearance of 165mm, and a substantial 13.2-litre fuel tank, it’s built for both comfort and long-distance touring. The scooter tips the scales at 237kg and boasts a generous 1,590mm wheelbase for added stability.
Powertrain and Performance
At its heart is a 745cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin SOHC engine delivering 58.5 bhp at 6,750 rpm and 69 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), offering seamless gear shifts and four distinct riding modes Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel plus a customizable User mode. Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) and cruise control further enhance its versatility and safety. The X-ADV can reach a claimed top speed of 168 kmph and has an oil capacity of 4 litres.

The scooter rides on a robust tubular steel frame, with 41mm upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. It features 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wire-spoke wheels for superior ride quality. Braking is handled by a 296mm dual disc setup with four-piston calipers at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear, all managed by dual-channel ABS for maximum safety.
