- The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert for several states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand. These regions are expected to experience high temperatures today.
- According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha may witness a 2-3 degree Celsius increase in maximum temperatures over the next two days. Uttar Pradesh could also see a similar rise after two days.

- The monsoon has already reached Karnataka via Kerala and Tamil Nadu. It is expected to reach Maharashtra by June 10, followed by Madhya Pradesh on June 15 and Delhi by June 27.

- On Wednesday, most parts of Rajasthan recorded temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. Dholpur reported the highest temperature at 45.4 degrees Celsius.
- Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are likely in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim over the next five days.
- Meanwhile, the heatwave is expected to persist in North West and East India for the next 4 to 5 days.
