New Delhi: As temperatures shift across India, residents in multiple states can expect showers due to the impact of Cyclone Dana, with cooler days anticipated by November. With slight chills setting in, mornings and evenings have begun to hint at the upcoming winter season, while daytime temperatures remain relatively warm in various regions.
In Delhi, residents are experiencing contrasting weather patterns while daytime heat lingers, mornings and evenings bring a refreshing, cool breeze. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted mostly clear skies for the next four days, indicating a gradual cooling trend expected to intensify in November.
The IMD has also projected light rains across specific districts in Uttar Pradesh, including Bhadohi, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Chandauli, and Sonbhadra. Western Uttar Pradesh, however, is likely to remain dry. Meanwhile, Bihar is experiencing Cyclone Dana’s influence, with light showers predicted in areas such as Araria, Gopalganj, Purnia, Kishanganj, Katihar, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura, and East Champaran.
Weather Shifts Signal Start of Cooling Across Central India
Central India is also experiencing significant changes, with Madhya Pradesh reporting mild chills at night even as days remain warm. Rajasthan, too, has observed a slight drop in temperatures. The IMD forecasts a further decrease in temperature, ushering in a chillier November for these regions.

Southern and Eastern India Braces for Rain and Thunderstorms
Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and surrounding areas are on alert for rain showers, while parts of South India are set to experience thunderstorms. Rain with thunder is likely across Kerala, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, while regions in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh may also see scattered showers.
With rain in the forecast and the cool season nearing, India’s transition into winter is becoming more palpable. As Cyclone Dana’s influence wanes, the country can look forward to a more distinct seasonal change as November arrives.
