MG4 EV

New Delhi: MG Motor has taken the wraps off its new upcoming electric crossover model. Its name is MG4 EV. The upcoming electric car will compete with the Kia EV6. After September this year, its sale will start in the UK market at the end of the year. After this, it will be launched elsewhere.

The new MG4 EV is built on the company’s new Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) architecture. MG will also use it for many future electric models. The new platform offers a wider variety of wheelbases ranging from 2650 mm to 3100 mm, so it could be seen in a range of MG cars in the future. Apart from this, this platform can also be used for battery packs ranging from 40 kWh to 150 kWh.

Completely different design
The new electric car will be launched with a fresh and modern design. Surprisingly, it doesn’t look like the MG when viewed from the outside. Up front, it gets a separate front end, which does not have a grille. It gets sleek, stretching LED headlamps flanking the MG logo at the front. Other highlights of its exterior design include a glass roof, full-width LED taillights, a skid plate on the rear bumper, and aero-style alloy wheels.
