Mumbai: The situation is getting serious due to corona infection in Maharashtra. On Saturday, State Deputy CM Ajit Pawar has informed that a large number of ministers and MLAs have been infected. Pawar said that 10 ministers and more than 20 MLAs have been found infected with Covid in Maharashtra. Pawar said that if the number of Kovid patients in the state continues to rise, then the government may have to impose more restrictions. When asked about the possibility of imposing more restrictions, Pawar replied that the state government was keeping an eye on the increasing number of patients. He said, ‘If the number of patients keeps increasing, then strict restrictions will be implemented. Every person should follow the rules to avoid stringent restrictions.

“We have recently shortened the assembly session,” he said after visiting the Jaystambh memorial in Perne village to mark the 204th anniversary of the Koregaon-Bhima war. So far 10 ministers and more than 20 MLAs have been found infected with the coronavirus. Everyone wants to participate in New Year, Birthday, and other celebrations. Bear in mind that the redesign (Omicron) spreads rapidly and, therefore, requires caution. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged that some states have implemented a night curfew. Cases are increasing in Mumbai and Pune of Maharashtra.

He told that in these four cases, one patient each is from Vasai-Virar, Navi Mumbai, Mira-Bhayander, and Panvel.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials gave this information. During the last 24 hours in Mumbai, one patient died due to the epidemic. With the arrival of new cases, the total number of infected people in Mumbai has increased to 7,85,110. A total of 16,376 patients have died so far.

According to the BMC, 548 patients have been confirmed to be cured of the infection in the last 24 hours, after which the number of people who have become infection-free has increased to 7,49,707. At present 16,441 patients are under treatment in Mumbai. Earlier, 3,671 cases of infection were reported in Mumbai on Thursday.

So far 1,431 cases of ‘Omicron’ have been reported in the country
After the arrival of 161 new cases of ‘Omicron’, a new form of coronavirus in India, the number of cases of this form has increased to 1,431. The Union Health Ministry gave this information in the figures on Saturday morning. 1,431 cases of Omicron form have been reported in 23 states and union territories and out of these 488 people have either recovered or have left the country.

Maharashtra has the highest number of 454 cases of the new form of coronavirus, followed by 351 in Delhi, 118 in Kerala, and 115 in Gujarat. According to the ministry, the daily cases of Covid-19 in the country crossed the mark of more than 16,000 after 65 days, taking the number of infected in the country to 3,48,61,579. At the same time, the number of patients under treatment has increased to 1,04,781.

22,775 new cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in India and after the death of 220 more people, the death toll has increased to 4,81,080.
