New Delhi: The country’s first corporate train Tejas Express is going to be closed from Monday till further orders. This train is being closed due to a shortage of passengers in the train.
Ashwini Srivastava, Chief Regional Manager, IRCTC, said that due to the epidemic, the passenger traffic is very low and that is why the train is being canceled. The Tejas train is currently being closed from the 23rd. For now, the running date will be announced soon.
Explain that this Tejas train runs between Lucknow and Delhi. It is run by IRCTC. This train is made entirely VIP. This train has made a profit from the first month.
Considering the success of the train, the operation of Mahakal Express between Varanasi and Indore was handed over to IRCTC by the Railways. Very few passengers booked to travel in the VIP train Tejas Express between Corona transitions, due to which it is being closed.
IRCTC started Lucknow-Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express in October, 2019. This was followed by the Tejas Express between Ahmedabad-Mumbai in January this year.
Explain that the Railways had re-operated the Tejas train on October 17, 2020, i.e. the first day of Navratra. Due to the lockdown after the Corona epidemic, the Tejas Express was closed on March 19, i.e. for about seven months.
