New York. Former US President Donald Trump has said that he will not return to Twitter even if his account on the platform is restored after billionaire Elon Musk bought Twitter. Musk has signed a deal to acquire the social media platform for about $44 billion. Trump told Fox News that he would focus on his own platform, 'Truth Social', which has been mired in trouble since its launch last year. Trump was quoted as saying by the network, “I am not coming to Twitter. I will be on Truth Social." He said Allen bought Twitter so he could improve on it and that he was a good guy, but "I'll stick to Truth Social." Trump was banned from major social media platforms after the riots broke out on the US Parliament on 6 January 2020. Twitter had said that there was a danger of further escalation of violence. At that time, he had 89 million followers on Twitter alone. On Monday, Trump welcomed Musk's purchase of Twitter and told Fox News that he does not see Twitter as a competitor to his product. “Truth Social will remain my voice,” he said.
