Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh, which is facing the tough situation of Corona, will now have a 60-hour lockdown in all urban areas. The lockdown will start at 6 pm on Friday and will end at 6 am on Monday. CM Shivraj Singh took this decision in a meeting held in Bhopal. There will be a lockdown on both Saturday and Sunday in all cities of the state.

The lockdown will start in all urban areas of Madhya Pradesh from 6 pm on Friday, which will be from Saturday, Sunday to 6 am on Monday morning. CM Shivraj said that we are also building a container area in big cities. It will also be closed. My intention has never been to lockdown.

A high-level meeting in Bhopal
An important meeting was held at the CM House in Bhopal to review the situation in Corona. In this, along with CM Shivraj, CS Iqbal Singh Bains, DGP Vivek Johri, PS Chief Minister, PS Home Rajesh Rajaura, PS Health were present. Along with them, ADG Intelligence, Commissioner Bhopal division, IG Bhopal, Collector-DIG Bhopal, and other officers were present. The meeting reviewed the latest situation in Corona and after that, it was decided to lockdown for two days.

CM Shivraj Singh Chauhan said, “We have done a high-level review on the situation of Covid 19. There will be a lockdown in all cities in Madhya Pradesh from 6 pm to 6 pm on Monday. We are also constructing a container area in big cities. Will also be closed. The Crisis Management Group will sit down and make a decision. On one hand, we are making all the arrangements for treatment. The number of beds will be increased to 1 lakh. People’s and JK Hospitals have been taken up in Bhopal. Where there is scope for free treatment, we will not leave any effort in arranging there. CM said that he has started taking oxygen from Bhilai. Injections are also being purchased, if there is no shortage of medicines, it will also be managed. Today more than 1.25 lakh cases have come in the country. The condition of many states is bad. CM said that tonight I will discuss with everyone, including the collector of all the districts. After that, I will also hold a virtual cabinet meeting tomorrow. MPs will also discuss with MLAs. We are monitoring the situation in Corona every second. Judgments will be taken in view of the situation.

Five Day Week in Government Offices
Earlier on Wednesday, in a high-level meeting held at CM residence, it was decided to open all the government offices of the state only five days a week for the next three months. The time of offices has been increased from Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm. All government offices will be closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Night curfew in urban areas
Night curfew has also been imposed in all the urban areas of the state from 10 am to 6 am from April 8 until further orders. The total lockdown will be Saturday-Sunday. During this time any shop or establishment will be banned and if not done, the administration will take strict action. Only necessary services like milk and medicine will be exempted.
