Lahore: An anti-terrorism court in Pakistan has convicted Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the Mumbai attacks and Jamat-ud-Dawa (JUD) ringleader, in two more cases. Sentenced to 10 years in prison on Thursday.

The United Nations had declared Saeed a terrorist and the United States has announced a 10 million reward for information leading to his capture. He was arrested on July 17 last year in a case of providing financial support for terrorist acts.

He was sentenced by an anti-terrorism court to 11 years in prison in February this year in two cases for providing financial support for terrorist acts. He is lodged in the high security Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.

“The Lahore-based anti-terrorism court on Thursday convicted four of its leaders, including Jamaat-ud-Dawa leader Saeed, in two more cases,” a court official told.

Saeed and his two accomplices – Zafar Iqbal and Yahya Mujahid – have been sentenced to 10 years in prison, while his brother-in-law Abdul Rahman Makki has been sentenced to six months in prison.
