New Delhi: A new twist has come in the Gautam Adani and Hindenburg controversy. The BJP has fiercely attacked American billionaire investor George Soros. The BJP on Friday launched a scathing attack on Soros, accusing him of targeting not only Prime Minister Narendra Modi but also the Indian democratic system. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Smriti Irani told reporters that Soros’ announcement was like imposing a war against India and Modi was standing between this war and India’s interests. He said that everyone should condemn Soros’ remarks in one voice. The Union minister said, “People like George Soros want a weak country, with a weak government and run according to their directions…but this is a new India.”
Irani claimed that Soros has created a fund of more than one billion dollars to interfere in the democratic systems of the world including India. He said, “A foreign power with George Soros at its center… has declared that it will attack the democratic structure of India… It will make Prime Minister Modi the main point of its attack… It will create such a situation in India under its foreign power.” We will create a system which will protect their interests and not the interests of India.’ Irani said, ‘Today I want to appeal to the people of the country… whether you are an individual, an organization or a political party… you have to give a befitting reply to this. ‘
