West Bengal Celebrates High Pass Percentage in Class 10 Results; Cooch Behar Student Tops with 99%

Kolkata: In a remarkable display of academic achievement, the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has announced the Class 10 results today, with an impressive pass percentage of 86.31%. The results, which were eagerly awaited by approximately nine lakh students, mark a slight increase from last year’s pass rate of 86.15%.

The gender-wise distribution of successful candidates reveals that out of the total number of students who passed, 4,05,994 were male and 5,17,019 were female, indicating a higher success rate among female students.

Ramanuj Ganguly, the chairman of the West Bengal Secondary Examination Board, expressed satisfaction with the overall performance and highlighted the consistent improvement in results over the years.

The top rank in the state was clinched by Chandrachud Sen from Ramgola High School in the Cooch Behar district, who achieved an outstanding 693 marks, translating to 99%. Following closely was Samyapriya Guru from Purulia District School, securing the second position with 692 marks.

The WBBSE conducted the examinations from February 2 to February 12, 2024, across various centers, ensuring a smooth and fair evaluation process. Students can access their detailed results online using their roll number and date of birth.
