Earlier in April, a new team was to be announced, but due to the Corona virus epidemic (Covid-19) and then the lockdown, BJP President Jagat Prakash Nadda had to postpone the announcement of his team.

According to sources, JP Nadda had prepared a list of national officials a few months back after brainstorming with senior leaders. But due to the corona epidemic, the party high command could neither give a green signal to the new team by calling a meeting of the national executive and council nor could call a meeting of national officials. Hence the announcement of the new team was postponed.
