New Delhi: Once again the cases of coronavirus infection are declining in India. But the Delta Plus variant of Corona is increasing the concern of the government. According to the Union Health Ministry, so far 86 cases of delta variant have been reported in the country, out of which 34 are from Maharashtra. However, till now there has been no exponential increase in the spread of corona due to the delta plus variant.

In a press conference organized by the Union Health Ministry, Dr. A.K Singh said, “We are monitoring 2 types, firstly the concern of the variant coming from outside and secondly the effect of the delta variant in the country.” “Today we need to look for new mutants because they can reach anywhere at any time,” he said.

Singh further added, “The anxiety types we monitor are alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and delta plus. With this, the two types under investigation are Kappa and B1617.3.”

Out of the total number of cases reported in the country last week, 51.51% of cases have been registered only in Kerala. Now the active cases in the country have come down to less than 4 lakhs. There are now 3,88,508 active cases in the country. The recovery rate is increasing continuously, now the recovery rate is 97.45%.

Aggarwal said, less than 2% positivity rate has been registered in the country in the last 2 weeks, this week’s positivity rate is 1.87%. He said the positivity is more than 10% in 44 districts in 11 states. Out of which there are 10 districts of Kerala. While 6 districts in the North-East states of Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Sikkim, there are 29 districts where the positivity rate is more than 10%.

Lav Aggarwal said that in January we were able to provide 2.35 lakh doses of the vaccine per day, in July it increased to 43.41 lakh doses per day. If we take the average of the month of August, it is 49.11 lakhs.
