Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday attacked the BJP-led central government fiercely. He said that who will benefit from the bullet train running between Mumbai and Ahmedabad? Run it from Mumbai to Nagpur. If you love Mumbai, why don’t you give Kanjur’s barren land? If given, we will be able to go to Badlapur Ambernath. Mumbai is not provided space for pumping. Indian Railways is not giving its land for the redevelopment of Dharavi slums. There are so many projects that are stuck, why not start again? If a bullet train had to be brought then why Ahmedabad to Mumbai? Why not Nagpur to Mumbai? This bullet train would have been used in Maharashtra.

What is the advantage of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train?
The Chief Minister said, “I am ready to give credit to those who are asking for Metro credit. But like the metro, there is also a bullet train project. They need a place in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex. What will be the benefit of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train?

Bullet train run for Mumbai-Nagpur
He said, “If you want to take credit, take it by doing some work. We carried forward the work he had started. We didn’t stop. If you want to run a bullet train, then instead of Mumbai to Ahmedabad, first-run from Mumbai to Nagpur.

Did not care for the environment and cut trees
CM Thackeray, without taking names, said, “After Kovid, some people have got a new disease for which there is no cure. First, they don’t do any work and when we do, they blame us for corruption. They claim they worked, but Mumbaikars saw how they didn’t care for the environment and cut trees.”
