New Delhi: The Meteorological Department said on Saturday that there is a possibility of rain with lightning and strong winds in Northeast India till April 27. IMD said a heatwave will prevail in Gujarat for the next 5 days. At the same time, from April 25, more parts of the plains of Northwest and Central India are likely to be covered.

Prediction for north India
According to the Meteorological Department, light rain and strong wind may occur in Chhattisgarh during the next two days. Similar conditions will prevail over Vidarbha and Gangetic West Bengal during the next 24 hours. In the next five days, there is a possibility of light rain in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

During the next five days, isolated rain is likely to occur over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. The IMD said that there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in the western Himalayan region. The Meteorological Department said, on Monday (April 25), there will be thunder and dust storms in the adjoining plains of Punjab and Haryana.

The IMD said that scattered rain, lightning, and gusty winds are very likely over Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu during the next five days.

The Meteorological Department has warned of heat wave in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal from April 25 to 27.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Southeast Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Chhattisgarh. At the same time, a trough is extending from Central Maharashtra to Interior Karnataka to the Gulf of Mannar. According to Skymet Weather, there is a possibility of thundershowers in Chhattisgarh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during the next 24 hours. Heatwave conditions will prevail over Gujarat and South-West UP.
