London: Stylish batsman Ian Bell on Saturday announced his retirement from all forms of cricket at the end of the 2020 domestic season. The five-time Ashes winner played for Warwickers throughout his career. Bell scored 42 in 118 Tests. He scored 7727 runs including 22 centuries at an average of 69 while adding 5416 runs in 161 ODIs.
He said in a statement, “With sad heart but with pride I declare to retire from professional cricket.” Bell was a member of the England Test team that won the Test series on a tour of India in 2012. The 38-year-old retired from ODI cricket in 2015 but also played the last Test in the same year. He could not make it to the England Test team since November 2015.
