New Delhi: Demolition will start today in Joshimath, which was hit by a terrible landslide. Because day by day the number of unsafe houses in Joshimath is increasing continuously. According to media reports, more than 700 houses have been identified in Joshimath so far. Out of these identified houses, 86 buildings have been declared completely unsafe and marked red. Soon the process of demolishing these buildings will start.
Demolition could not start on Tuesday
In fact, the demolition of the things which were ordered by the government could not be started on Tuesday due to landslides. Because as soon as the district administration team reached to demolish the building with Lashkar, the affected people came out in protest. After the protest, the demolition action was postponed till today i.e. Wednesday. This action is to start today.
Significantly, due to the terrible landslides happening in Joshimath, the city was declared a disaster-affected area. There is an atmosphere of fear in Joshimath due to landslides. Cracks are visible on the walls of the houses. People are forced to spend the night outside their homes. The government has geared up to rehabilitate the residents of the disaster-hit areas and remediate the area.
