The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of very dense fog in many states of the country. According to the Meteorological Department, fog alert has been issued in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature over North India during the next 4 to 5 days. Similarly, due to dry northwesterly winds from the Himalayas, fog accompanied by cold waves is very likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and North Rajasthan during the next 4 to 5 days.

On the other hand, in the next 24 hours, there may be one or two light to heavy rains over the southern parts of Andaman-Nicobar. Light rain is also likely over Coastal Tamil Nadu and the South Coast of Andhra Pradesh. There is a full possibility of rain in Karnataka, interior parts of Tamil Nadu, and parts of Kerala.
