London: England, beat India by 100 runs in the second ODI here on Thursday with the career-best bowling of fast bowler Reece Topley in the three-match ODI series 1-1. Equalized. Chasing England’s target of 247, India was reduced to just 146 runs in 38.5 overs in front of the stormy bowling of Topley (6 for 24). No Indian batsman could even touch the 30-run mark. Hardik Pandya (29), Ravindra Jadeja (29), Suryakumar Yadav (27), and Mohammed Shami (23) lost wickets after staying at the crease.
England’s team also piled up 246 runs in 49 overs in front of the sharp bowling of leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal (4 for 47), Hardik (2 for 28), and Jasprit Bumrah (2 for 49). Went.

Kohli (16) also caught Buttler in the next over by touching the bat on the ball moving outside Willie’s off-side. Suryakumar and Hardik then carried on the innings. Both took the team’s score beyond 50 runs in the 15th over. Suryakumar hit the first six of the innings on Kars but Topley’s ball was played on the wickets. He scored 27 runs in 29 balls. After this, Hardik also got caught by Livingstone off Moeen’s ball.
India’s century of runs was completed in the 27th over. Shami showed his attitude as soon as he came. He opened the account with a four-off Moin and then hit a six in the next over of the off-spinner. He, along with Jadeja, took the team’s score to 140 runs, but after that India lost both of these wickets in successive balls. Livingstone hit sixes and fours in successive deliveries from Pandya but the next ball of the same fast bowler was played at deep square leg in the hands of substitute player Shreyas Iyer. He faced 33 balls and hit two sixes and two fours.
Moeen and Willie then took over the innings. Willie was lucky on a personal score of one run when Krishna dropped his catch off Pandya’s delivery. Both Moeen and Willie hit Krishna for sixes. Pandya gave a second life to Shami on the score of 24 runs to Willie. In this 40th over of Shami’s innings, England’s double century of runs was also completed.
Moeen hit his second six off Bumrah but Chahal returned to the bowling and got him caught by Jadeja. Moeen faced 64 balls and hit two sixes and two fours. Willie hit a six on Bumrah but was caught by Iyer in the same over. He hit two fours and two sixes in his 49-ball innings. Bumrah bowled Topley (03) to end England’s innings.
