Along with the first day, the film is expected to do good business in theaters on the second day i.e. Saturday also. Let us tell you, there has been a 40-50 percent decline in the earnings of John Abraham starrer ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ after the release of ‘Antim’. ‘Satyamev Jayate 2’ is giving tough competition to Salman’s film at the box office. The film is doing well on single screens and multiplexes.

The film ‘Antim’ directed by Mahesh Manjrekar is a remake of Marathi’s hit film ‘Mulshi Pattern’. Talking about his cop’s character in the film, Salman had said, “I couldn’t play this character like Dabangg. Otherwise, I would have kept doing ‘Dabangg’. This is a completely different film. My character is very tied up, very Indian, and rugged. He doesn’t whine or yell, he’s very focused on what he’s doing. He will take orders and be humiliated, but he will do what he needs to do at the right time. Even if he had to sacrifice a person, he would do what is right. That’s what I liked about this character.
