New Delhi: Former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) has got his blue tick back on Twitter. Some time ago the blue tick of Dhoni’s official Twitter account was removed. It was being said that he was not active on Twitter for a long time. Because of this, his blue tick has been removed, but now he has got the blue tick again from Twitter. However, no statement has been issued by Twitter in this matter yet.
Fans had expressed their displeasure over the removal of the blue tick from the official Twitter account of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and fans were also tweeting fiercely about this matter. Dhoni has about 8.2 million followers on Twitter. Dhoni was away from cricket since the semi-final defeat at the hands of New Zealand in the World Cup in England in 2019. He did not even play home matches during that time and went to train with the army. He was seen playing in IPL 2020, but before that, he had said goodbye to international cricket.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni had said goodbye to international cricket on 15 August last year. He announced his decision on Instagram. After retiring from international cricket, Dhoni had made only four tweets. Dhoni had a total of seven tweets in 2019. Before this, till 2018 he was quite active on Twitter. He has made more than 20 tweets in 2018. Since the 2019 World Cup, Dhoni is less active on other social media platforms as well.
After saying goodbye to international cricket, Dhoni is now playing for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is the captain of CSK and has got the team the title three times so far. Dhoni, 40, was seen in IPL 2021, but due to Corona, the tournament was postponed only after 29 matches. The second leg of the season will now be played in the UAE in September. Chennai Super Kings are in second place with 10 points from 7 matches.
