Jaipur: It will also be mandatory for pet dogs in the city to get a license from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Jaipur. The corporation has made licenses mandatory for many other things. Municipal Corporation Greater Jaipur Mayor Sheel Dhabai said on Thursday that it will be mandatory to take a license from the corporation to sell tobacco products, coaching center, guest house, paying guest, disease diagnosis center, and pet dog. He said that the online licensing process would be started soon.
The corporation had recently sent a proposal to the state government to make licenses mandatory for certain activities to increase revenue, which the government has accepted and notified. Dhabai said that to increase the corporation’s income, new places would be increased in the capital for putting up advertising hoardings and hoarding places would be marked for advertising of special institutions of Jaipur, famous food establishments handicrafts and other reputed institutions, etc.
He said that this would increase the revenue of the corporation on the one hand, on the other hand, it would be available to the tourists coming to Jaipur to know where the best items/food items of the city are found.
The mayor said that it would be mandatory to get a license for pet dogs. Along with this, a special campaign will be launched to completely prevent the use of plastic carry bags for environmental protection. The corporation has marked 351 places for new hoardings. With this, the number of hoarding places of the Greater Municipal Corporation will increase to 767. Along with this, the corporation has identified 48 new parking spots.
