A Hub of Spiritual Devotion
The Kalbhairav Temple holds a special place in the hearts of devotees. Situated in Ujjain, it is the second-most visited temple in the city after the famous Jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar Temple. Devotees from across India visit to seek blessings and experience the unique rituals associated with Lord Kalbhairav.
The Unique Offering of Liquor
What sets Kalbhairav Temple apart is the distinctive ritual of offering liquor to the deity. Devotees bring liquor as a token of devotion, hoping to witness the deity symbolically accept their offering. This fascinating tradition continues to draw pilgrims, adding to the temple’s spiritual allure.
Rising Footfall Post-Mahakal Mahalok Construction
Since the construction of the Mahakal Mahalok corridor, the Kalbhairav Temple has seen a surge in visitors. The corridor, a sprawling spiritual and cultural hub near the Mahakaleshwar Temple, has contributed significantly to Ujjain’s prominence as a pilgrimage destination.
Faith and Generosity Shine Bright
The latest donation collection reflects the immense faith and generosity of devotees who visit Lord Kalbhairav to seek blessings and participate in the temple’s unique rituals. The temple committee ensures that the funds are used responsibly for maintenance, welfare initiatives, and enhancing the overall experience for visitors.
